Good Bye, Blue Sky, Good Bye
Yippee!! I am headed to Michigan – Kellogg showed me the door and all roads lead to Michigan. Michigan has always been one of my top choices and to make it to one of my top choices from such a competitive demographic pool is an achievement in itself. (Let bygones be bygones) To top that, I took such a big risk in not applying to any lower-ranked less competitive school with that in mind that I will head for a part-time program if things don’t work out this year. The journey started in an evening in October when I was feeling peevish as the looming deadlines list dangled from my desktop – from then on, it ends in a beautiful evening in March, with me, myself and my blog and all the boxes lying around me as I start packing for my trip to Ann Arbor, a small quintessential college town in Midwest. Michigan seems to be irresistible – the decided fate of my future and the start of a new beginning. As a blogger I took a tremendous risk in opening up myself to all of you, religiously documenting my thoughts, my inhibitions, my insecurities and my dreams without holding anything back. I hope our paths crosses in the future; I hope someday we will achieve all we have set out to accomplish; I hope that we will all thrive in brotherhood and humanity; I hope we will all set aside our prejudices and work towards a better future – as if the entire responsibility of the world rests on our shoulders. And to my fellow bloggers, I wish that someday we would meet. We should never forget these days and if we ever meet, reminisce together the blogging days of the MBA applicant pool of 2004.
I have been living with this character “techiedude” for so long that I need to shed it now and move on. [After all post-MBA I will not be a techie any more.] BLOG has become my second life and I know that it will be difficult to part with it – But honestly I have tried to keep this as an applicant blog and I strongly believe that this blog’s journey ends with me here now. That doesn’t necessarily means that I will fade into oblivion – I will still be available through emails. Also, feel free to ask questions in the comments section of my “ask questions” post. I will keep updating the Survey I have started and I strongly encourage everyone to fill it out so we have an admit worksheet for the future applicants. Also I will keep updating the MBA advisory blog with the lessons I have learnt – if anyone is bothered to know. It has been a tremendous journey for the last 6 months and I really appreciate from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog, encouraging me and standing beside me at my worst times. I am planning to start a new blog – probably not an MBA blog anymore but more sort of a diary till I reach Michigan – I will post the link in the "Featured Blog" Subsection in the right menu once I have everything figured out.
Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Ciao, Sayonara, Adiós.
"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
sky?
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all long gone, but the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
