Just a Show

The mere obsession with a reality TV Show, “Apprentice”, among the business world is driving me nuts – come on people, it is just a reality show with pure entertainment values – considering it as a form of a business course in a business school is purely outlandish. I don’t agree that it provides lessons regarding real-life business situations – to me it is just the editorial cut of a drama in a reality show. And by the way, if Mr. Trump was seriously searching for that ultimate guy or gal to be his apprentice, will he provide a candidate like Omarosa a second chance? The show is nothing but a process of minting money for NBC and an advertisement for the “Trump” brand name.

But I would say that Trump is a genius, just at the time when his Taj Mahal is almost bankrupt (though 2% of his portfolio), he comes up with this brilliant idea of a reality show which not only un-tarnishes his image but also makes “Trump” a house-hold name – needless to say this will help him a lot not only in his businesses but also in opening doors for future opportunities. If you guys noticed, Taj Mahal was there in almost 2 or 3 episodes of the show. And also in one of the show – the competition was to sell “Trump” mineral water. I don’t need to say but it was pretty obvious that Apprentice was an unsolicited advertisement for the “Trump” brand name.

And by the way, did you guys know that Bill also auditioned for the Bachelor? Well, is it pure coincidence or do you start judging the real motives?
Check out it – I was amazed: Bill’s Bachelor Audition.
