MLP has started
The first 2 days of MLP are over. I am currently sitting in the student lounge after setting the wireless connection - it was pretty weird to be disconnected from the world for the last few days. Michigan is finally sinking in - I am finally here. MLP kicked off yesterday. Yesterday's sessions were mainly about leadership with movie clippings of "Patton" and "Gandhi". Noel Tichy kicked off the leadership session, followed by Ashford and Robert Quinn. We went through the "Deep Change" Exercise which was pretty intensive. Last night, as an assignment, we were supposed to watch the movie "Stand and Deliver" at Michigan Theatre. The entire hall was filled with MBA1s. After the movie, some of the MBA1s arranged an impromptu party at Rick's. By the time I went to bad it was almost midnight. Today I got up at 6-30 am in the morning, picked up a coffee from Starbuck's across the street and headed for the second day. Today, we had a leadership presentation by Mary Kay, Senior VP of Krafts Inc. Quinn's Leadership Model was pretty intensive, but it started to make me think. So, I promised myself to create a priority list today, since I don't want to get lost in this candy store :) Sorry for the short post and pardon my errors(if any), I have to go...
