Random Thoughts
Finals are finally over. And I resurface to the blogging world – It was not that I didn’t have time (I cannot find excuses that I didn’t have 15 minutes to type in a few lines), but I prioritized everything else over a virtual internet presence. The last 7 weeks has been terrific, in all aspect, academically, socially and professionally. I have been more or less able to successfully balance my academics with other stuff; I got involved with a few clubs; I got some section responsibilities; and I did fairly on attending the socials as well (don’t put me in the party animal category) and oh, yes, I already have a section nickname as well. Business School is fun – truly, I didn’t expect it to be soooo fun – everything from the class room experiences to study groups, club activities to weekend socials, football games to tailgate parties, camping to potlucks; even the finals were fun. The internship thingy is slowly getting on me and I need to kick start the process in next term – well, it will start off officially with the West Coast Forum I am attending this week. There were so many companies coming on-campus that sometime I found it difficult to prioritize – somehow by the end of the term I got the hang of it; you cannot be everywhere all the time. And yes, I sang once in the class – I was the only one who sang, but next term we will make sure that everyone does it or classes will not be so fun. In economics class, I lost 20 bucks on one of the auction game (which went to the section dues) and I promised that I will make it up with a keg probably. I also met a few prospective students and remembered my experiences a year back. Best of luck to all the bloggers who are applying to business school this year – believe me your life is going to change so much in the next year or so. And keep your hopes high, a door or so will surely open up. Talk to you all soon – probably I will try to blog more regularly from now on.
