Time
I am feeling very bad doing injustice to this blog – I have hardly updated it since I started school. As I said before, the motivational factor is not there anymore and I don’t know why. Actually I have the habit of writing in bursts, I can’t just write a few lines. Usually my posts have been more than a few paragraphs. I should make the habit of writing a few lines, at least twice a week to keep this blog alive.
It was fun meeting a bunch of prospective last week and doing the ambassador tour. I can so much relate to them. Though I am not posting regularly, I frequently read the MBA blogs and I exactly understand what the current applicants are going through – this roller-coaster ride of ups and downs is fun but emotionally and mentally challenging. My only advice to all the applicants who are anxiously waiting for the decisions, hang in there – hard work pays and don’t get de-motivated by a rejection or rejections – “fit” is a big factor.
This term most of the classes have been amazing; especially Finance and Marketing. I had so much fun working on the Marketing Mini Case and Presentation – my best group experience ever. The good thing about Michigan is the opportunity to excel outside the class, getting involved with the clubs, taking leadership roles, co-creating. Business School is perfect for people who like to have fun and cram at the same time. It’s like Boot Camp in Hawaii – you get the beaches and parties at night, while during the day you work your ass out.
The internship season is almost here and I have kind of short-listed the companies I am interested in. No, I am not going to be an Investment Banker, though Finance piques my interest. I am more inclined towards Marketing. But, since I enjoy doing the cases and particularly problems, I am kind of exploring consulting too.
Christmas is almost here and my 3 months in business school is over; 3 months. I can hear the clock tick, tick-tock, tick-tock, and tick-tock… sitting on a time-bomb…
